1 lb ground turkey, cooked
1 small onion, diced
2 garlic clove, minced
2 cans petite diced tomatoes with juice
2 can great northern beans, drained and rinsed
20 maraschino cherries, rinsed and quartered
1 cup cherry jelly (ideally with no added sugars)
8 squares dark chocolate, broken into 1/2″ pieces
1 1/2 cups broth
2 Tbsp chili powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
sprinkle cayenne
grated sweet or mild cheese, for topping (I used herbs de provence by Bella Vitano)

Saute onions and garlic in large skillet on low/med for 1-2 minutes until they start to turn translucent. Add ground turkey to skillet and cook with onions until turkey is cooked through. Add cooked turkey with remaining ingredients to crockpot.

Cook on low for 4-6 hours, stirring after approximately 3 hours, to make sure the jelly and chocolate are melted and distributed evenly.

Serve with grated cheese and dark chocolate shavings, if desired.

Serves 6-8.

Hi Amanda, one of the biggest problems I am having is finding great recipes but the nutrition information is lacking. I know how much trouble it is to figure it all out. I made a sweet potato casserole for Thankgiving. I still haven’t figured out the whole counts. Lol…..so if there is any way you could figure out the counts specifically calories, fat content and carb content it would be much appreciated. I realize people choose which way to count when they diet or should I say live it. I have always had success the counting calories…..thanks for inspirations and inspiring!
